As a kid I always wanted to be a musician. My parents got me a guitar when I was 13, but I never learned to play well at all. I was proficient in playing drums and ended up playing quite a bit over the years. I was better with general percussion and played a Djembe for years. I was also interested in producing music and helped some friends record some demos. I was also enamoured with electronic music and made a few simple songs, but nothing that was very complex or worth publishing.

Everything changed when I received a gift. A very good friend sent me an Ableton Push controller and an Ableton Live subscription. I started watching videos and learning how to use these tools. Eventually I found just the tutorials I needed and was able to make my first song from scratch. After this, I was able to produce a small albumn and release it. I’m proud of the music, although I still have a lot to learn.

My music project is called Thrift Shop Robot. You can probably guess why I chose that name if you look at the rest of my site. You can find the music here:

You can find it on many other music services if you search for “Thrift Shop Robot”.

Currently in a hiatus of publishing music, but starting to get more equipment and learning new skills. I plan on releasing more once I have something worth sharing.
